Account Access & Security
I forgot my password. Can I reset it?
Torzon cannot reset passwords via email. We do not store email addresses. Our security model is decentralized.
To recover your account, you must use the Mnemonic Phrase provided during registration. Navigate to the login page, click "Forgot Password," and enter your username and mnemonic. If you have lost your mnemonic phrase, your account is permanently inaccessible. We recommend creating a new account immediately.
Why am I stuck in a "Login Loop" or Captcha Loop?
Login loops on the Tor network are common and typically caused by browser configuration or DDoS protection mechanisms. Follow these steps:
- Security Level: Set Tor Browser Security Level to "Safer" (Standard), not "Safest". The captcha requires basic JavaScript.
- New Circuit: Press `Ctrl + Shift + L` (New Identity) to refresh your Tor circuit. Bad exit nodes often cause loops.
- Clock Sync: Ensure your system clock is accurate. PGP 2FA relies on time-sensitive tokens.
- Phishing Check: Verify you are on a real Torzon mirror. Phishing sites often have broken login scripts designed to harvest credentials.
My PGP 2FA code is invalid. What now?
If the site says "Invalid Code" after you decrypt the PGP message:
- Ensure you are not including extra spaces when copying the code from Kleopatra/GPG.
- Check if you have multiple private keys. You must use the key that corresponds to the public key uploaded to your profile.
- If you lost your PGP key, use your Mnemonic Phrase to reset 2FA settings in the recovery menu.
Payments & Cryptocurrencies
My Monero (XMR) deposit is missing. Where is it?
Please refrain from opening a ticket until 120 minutes have passed. Here is why:
1. Confirmations: Torzon requires 10 confirmations on the Monero blockchain to prevent double-spend attacks. This takes roughly 20-30 minutes.
2. Daemon Sync: Occasionally, our wallet daemon may lag behind the blockchain during high traffic. Your funds are safe on the blockchain and will appear once synced.
If 2 hours pass with no funds, open a ticket with your Transaction ID (TXID) and the deposit address you sent to. Note: We rotate deposit addresses. Always check the "Wallet" page for the current address.
What is the difference between XMR and BTC handling?
Bitcoin (BTC): We implement a mixer for BTC withdrawals, but deposits are traceable to the market wallet. Using BTC exposes you to blockchain analysis.
Monero (XMR): This is the native currency of Torzon. It uses Ring Signatures, RingCT, and Stealth Addresses. It is opaque. We strongly recommend converting BTC to XMR before depositing.
Why is the withdrawal fee so high?
Torzon uses a Dynamic Fee System. The fee consists of:
- Network Miner Fee (varies by congestion).
- Market Processing Fee (0.5%).
- Privacy Mixing Fee (for BTC only).
We do not profit significantly from withdrawals; the fees ensure transactions confirm quickly and maintain privacy standards.
Orders, Shipping & Escrow
How do I open a Dispute?
You can open a dispute if the order has not arrived by the expected date or if the item is defective.
- Go to "My Orders" -> Select Order ID.
- Click the red "Dispute" button (only available after the shipping estimate has passed).
- Select a reason (Non-delivery, Fake item, etc.).
- Provide Evidence: Text descriptions are rarely enough. We prioritize cases with photo/video evidence.
Once disputed, a moderator will join the chat. Do not insult the vendor; remain professional.
What is "Finalize Early" (FE) and is it safe?
FE means releasing funds to the vendor BEFORE receiving the product.
Torzon grants FE privileges only to highly trusted vendors with thousands of sales. However, FE voids Escrow protection. If you FE and the vendor exit scams or sends an empty box, Torzon admins cannot recover your money. We advise using Escrow for all transactions unless you personally trust the vendor.
The order Auto-Finalized. Can I get a refund?
No. Once an order finalizes (either manually by you or automatically by the timer), the funds are cryptographically released to the vendor's wallet. We cannot reverse this transaction. It is your responsibility to extend the escrow timer or open a dispute before the timer hits 0.
Vendor & Shop Management
How much is the Vendor Bond?
The current vendor bond is $500 USD (payable in XMR/BTC). This bond is held to prevent scamming. It is fully refundable if you decide to close your shop, provided you have no active disputes and fulfill all remaining orders.
Can established vendors get a bond waiver?
Yes. If you are a reputable vendor on other established markets (e.g., Archetyp, ASAP, Abacus) with 200+ feedback, you may apply for a Free Vendor Account. You must prove ownership of your PGP key and profile on the other market via a signed message.
What items are banned on Torzon?
Torzon strictly prohibits:
- Child Pornography (CP) - Zero tolerance, immediate ban & report.
- Weapons, explosives, poisons, and Fentanyl.
- Hitman services or violent threats.
- Doxing services (selling private data of individuals).
Selling these items will result in a permanent ban and seizure of funds.
Technical & OpSec
Why does the site log me out frequently?
For security, Torzon has a strict Session Timeout of 30 minutes of inactivity. This prevents unauthorized access if you leave your computer unattended. We recommend using a session keep-alive extension if you are editing long listings, or saving your work locally in a text file first.
How do I delete my account?
Go to User Settings -> Security -> Delete Account. Warning: This action is irreversible. All transaction history, messages, and feedback will be wiped from the database. Ensure you have withdrawn all funds before confirming deletion.
